sup niggaz. I'm once again incredibly bored at home watching Pirates of the Carribean 4, and I've found a quiz on books- so I am going to use it.
One book you're currently reading:
The Dark of the Night- John Marsden. I quite like it actually. It's the second book in the series of Tomorrow When the War Began. I am a faithful child and read the book before the movie, but then I just never read 2, 3 or 4. I realised and I was like oh mah gee, so I decided to read! It's very interesting and puts some ideas in your head.
One book that changed your life:
Harry Potter. It sounds cliche and embarrassing but it's so incredibly true. I read it and Jo took me to another place. I have an incredibly strong emotional connection to every single book, every character. It's definitely a huge source of comfort to me, whenever I'm going through a dark patch I read the books. I've read the whole series through about nine times. Everything about it reminds me of home, so when I move out or go travelling they will undoubtedly join me.
One author's works you'd be stranded on a deserted island with:
George Orwell!!! I've only read two books of his- 1984 and Animal Farm, but I adored them. He is so insightful and interesting so if I'm going to die at least I have something to take my mind off it. Then again, I might want to take the Hazza series, as a source of comfort.
One book you'll never be able to finish:
Ugh, I can't remember who the author was but it was called The Passage. I quite liked it, I started reading it in year 8 (last year) in America. It was interesting and all, but I wasn't mature enough to read it I don't think. I've tried it again a couple of times, testing it, but still I just couldn't do it.
One book that made you laugh:
Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging. Fucking hell that is a funny, funny book. My sister and I both read it when we were in England and giggled for hours on end. It's another light, breezy book that I'll read for comfort or just for a less heavy book. I read it again earlier this year and my sister made me send her a text with a funny line from the book each night.
One book that made you cry:
Once again Imma have to say the hazza books, I've never cried so much in my life.
One book you keep re-reading:
Ok Hazza series as well, but I re read a LOT of books. I'd say Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane is a definite.
One book you've been meaning to read:
Frankenstein!!! I think it's really really intriguing, but the language is soo sophisticated and I'm not sure I can get through it yet!
One book you believe everyone should read:
Animal Farm by George Orwell, it's an incredibly good book. It's faction (teehee.) It's an Allegory for the Russian Revolution, which I find fascinating.
Finally, grab the nearest book. Open it to page 17. What is the fifth sentence?:
When ya'll are done for doing the dough for the cookies.
